By using FutarchyHub you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

What FutarchyHub is

FutarchyHub is a platform for running members only prediction markets. You create a market, invite people, and trade on outcomes. Prices reflect what your group believes.

What FutarchyHub is not

FutarchyHub is not an exchange, a broker, a bank, or a financial advisor. We do not hold your funds, decide outcomes, or provide investment advice. We are not a gambling platform.

The trust model

When you join a market, you are trusting the people who run it:

• The custodian manages deposits and withdrawals. If the custodian disappears or acts badly, your funds may be lost. FutarchyHub cannot recover them.
• The oracles vote on event outcomes. If they vote dishonestly, there is no recourse through the platform.
• The admin controls market configuration, can remove members, and assigns roles.

Every action is a cryptographically signed nostr event published to the market's relay. Anyone can independently verify the full history. But verification doesn't undo a bad outcome.

Your account

You can sign in with a nostr key, GitHub, or Google. If you use GitHub or Google, we generate a nostr keypair on your behalf and store the private key encrypted on our server. You are responsible for your account security. If your key is compromised, we cannot reverse trades made with it.

Age requirement

You must be 18 or older to use FutarchyHub.

Acceptable use

Don't use FutarchyHub to:

• Create markets on illegal activity
• Manipulate outcomes (e.g. betting on something you control)
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
• Violate any applicable law

We can remove accounts or markets that violate these rules.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for determining whether using FutarchyHub complies with the laws of your jurisdiction. Prediction markets may be regulated as gambling or financial instruments in some places. We make no representation that use of FutarchyHub is legal in your location.

Alpha software

FutarchyHub is in alpha. Things may break. We may change features, reset data, or shut down at any time. Do not risk funds you cannot afford to lose.

No warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UPTIME, DATA INTEGRITY, OR THE ACCURACY OF ANY MARKET PRICES OR OUTCOMES.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FUTARCHYHUB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF FUNDS, PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
